Do you live in “tomorrow’s world” – making excuses for indecision today?  Will you do whatever you want to do when you have… more time, more money, better skills, later today, tomorrow, in a couple of months, in a few years time?  Any time but not now?

Do you struggle to make decisions?  Indecision will sap your energy.  Indecision will not get you to where you want to go.  You know what you need to do if you want to achieve results – get started!  Are you going to take that first step, do that one thing or not?  Are you going to do it now?  Are you going to make excuses or get results?

Make the decision to take action now, stick with it, take action, keep going and achieve OR procrastinate, do nothing, make excuses, blame someone or something else.

Okay, so sometimes we need to do things that we don’t necessarily want to do. Sometimes we just cannot be bothered.  Sometimes we would rather be doing other things.  Life can be challenging.

But how important is it to you to get this thing done?  To achieve your goals?  If it is important, not taking action will foster regret.  If something is unimportant and you don’t need to do it, forget it. Make that decision not to do it, forget it and do something else.  Accept the consequences of not doing whatever it is and let it go. Waste no more time on it.

If it is important to you on the other hand, get on with it.  Make a plan and act on it.  Follow through on your plan.  Take action.

Be disciplined. Get motivated.  Plan and fine-tune your plan.  Take action.  Take ownership of your plan. Take control.   Take consistent action.

See any barriers standing in your way as a challenge.  If you need additional skills and abilities, acquire them.  If you need help, seek it out.  If you need to change your plan after evaluating it and if your results are not coming, do so.  Learn from the experience.

What benefits will there be once you have achieved what you set out to do?  How much better will you feel then?  What will your life be like?  Make a list of the benefits and get excited about your plan. Take action every day with a steadfast discipline.

Decide, commit, plan, accept responsibility, take action.

Do your best at all times – aim for your personal best not some hypothetical unreachable concept of excellence.

Reward yourself on your achievements and get ready to move on to your next plan and next achievement.

If you need support with your plan, ask for it.  Get yourself a good coach if you need one, when you feel stuck or if there is no one else to support you.

Don’t make excuses for indecision and inactivity – it will sap your energy and foster regret.

So if reading this has hit a nerve, do something now. Take action. Make the decision and go for it.
